This week we are featuring one of our newest artists, the Downtown Sketcher! Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Wynand van Niekerk is the sketch artist that created the brand Downtown Sketcher. Ever since he was a child, he has had a unique vision and passion for urban landscapes. We met Wynand in January and commissioned him to sketch some of our most iconic landmarks. So far, he has done the Peterborough lift locks, the historic Market Hall building and Trent University. We have the greeting cards and magnets of these three designs, as well as the new tote bags! The 4th image of Quaker Oats is in the works and when that is done, we’ll be getting some coasters too! It is so nice to be able to share these lovely images of our city, and share them with others!
