GARDEN GATE Episode 249-Setting up a bird feeding station (Sept 9, 2022)

To get the most enjoyment out of feeding your birds, it’s a great idea to set up a bird feeding station. When set up properly you can keep squirrels and chipmunks off your feeders. They spend a lot of time filling their cheeks and chewing your feeders so if you can keep them from the feeders, you’ll get much more enjoyment watching the birds and not chasing squirrels and dealing with damage they create.

These pole systems can be customized to your liking. Start out with two hooks and go from there. Add a baffle to keep the squirrels off or an extension to make it taller. There are also adapters to add a flat bottomed feeder. So many possibilities!

This line is made in the USA and is powder coated steel so will last a long time. And because the ground socket which supports the pole in the ground is 10″ long, the bird feeding station is very sturdy and is less apt to tilt over. Drop by the shop and we’ll help get you started on the right foot!
