Marie-Joel Turgeon & Jordan Lentink, potters

Hand-made clay bird baths

Hand made pottery bird bathFrom the artist: “The first time I touched clay was at the age of 15. After finishing my bachelor’s degree in fine arts, I realized that my passion for this medium was still strong. Now living in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, I create decorative pieces and dishware inspired by the East coast.”

Marie-Joël and Jordan create and design the pieces together. She is the specialist in throwing and tournassage – the part of her work she says she prefers – while he takes care of  sanding and enameling. At Atelier Trema, all clay residues are collected in tanks, and kneaded again in order to be reused for other creations.

Look for more of their works at art shows and the One-of a Kind show in Toronto.

Place the bird bath in your garden or lawn on the rust coloured rebar provided. The birds enjoy flitting in and out and sitting on the edge or centre flower, taking a drink or having a bath.

Approximately 16″ round and just about an inch and a half deep. Marvelous colours where your birds will be happy to rest for a short while.

It can also be used as a bird feeder or just be a giant pottery flower in your garden.

Includes rebar stand when purchased in the store. Rebar piece is too long to ship.

One of a kind gift.

Pottery must be brought indoors when temperatures are below freezing.
