The Avant-Garden Shop is owned by Peterborough resident Brenda Ibey. The store opened in 2002 with the goal of providing homeowners with high quality products to enhance their outdoor living experience.
From the beginning we have dedicated ourselves to seeking out products that are unusual and interesting. Our customers are continually delighted and surprised by the truly unique products that we find, many of which are produced by local or Canadian artisans.
After almost four years at our original location on George Street in downtown Peterborough, we relocated the store to 165 Sherbrooke Street, just west of George. The new location has allowed us to better serve our customers with a brighter and more spacious shopping experience, improved parking and expanded offering of merchandise.
