Rain chains originated in Japan and have been used as artistic decorations for the home for many years.  You often see them in magazines but to find quality ones in shops has been difficult.  But no more!  We have a lovely supply currently in stock.

These chains are often made from copper or other sturdy metal.  We find the cast iron varieties aren’t as attractive, they rust and can be quite heavy.

The chains are hung from the eaves-troughs of your home, cottage or tool shed and direct water to the ground in place of downspouts. The flowing water creates a wonderful visual experience as well as a zen like sound.  In the winter they can be left in place and will form wonderful ice sculptures.
